Aikani arvoin itsekin että valitako kaksi 112 kaappia vai yhden 212. Päädyin lopulta kahteen 112 -kaappiin, koska sattui olla asiallinen setti (toinen käytetty, toinen uusi) myytävänä juuri sopivasti. Kaiken kaikkiaan minulla on TKS 112-kaappeja kolme - yksi kotona / akustisen bändin käytössä ja kaksi treenikämpällä äänekkäämpien bändien käytössä - ja olen ollut kaappeihin todella tyytyväinen!   TKS:n Tommy on tosi asiallinen kaveri, jonka kanssa on kiva tehdä kauppoja, hän vastasi uteluihini kahden em. eroista seuraavasti:   "112 and 212 uses the same 12" speaker, so 2x112 and 212 are quite close to each other sound wise. However, there are some slight differences. 212 is slightly larger than 2x112, which means more low end (larger cabinet = more air inside the cabinet = the cones travel further at lower frequencies with the same signal from the amplifier, hence: more low end). The 212 also has a bit lower tuning frequency that goes along well with the larger cabinet.   The difference isn't enormous, but noticeable when directly comparing a stack of 112s to a 212.   A second difference is the placement of the speakers. When stacking the two 112:s, they give a bit better dispersion in the mid frequencies, so more of the mids "cut through", giving them a bit clearer sound. As with the low end, not a big difference, but it is there.   Volume-wise, both are equal. You should notice quite the difference when going up from one 112 to two 112/one 212. You get twice the cone area and roughly twice the amount of power from the amplifier. The increase in volume is comparable to going from at 150W to a 600W amplifier (at least in theory, in real life there are more benefits of adding a second cabinet instead of getting a 4x more powerful amplifier)."
