Astral Sleep on suomalainen yhtye, jonka musiikkia on osuvimmin kuvailtu määrityksellä "Atmospheric Ancient Doom Metal with space elements".
Uusi mCD "Angel" julkaistaan Solitude Productionsin kautta syyskuun aikana. Ennakkotilaaminen on mahdollista.

Angel is a typical mCD, having more groundbreaking material and bigger experiments. Apart from Doom Metal, the album includes very straightforward influences from genres such as Death metal, Black metal, Progressive metal, Gothic music, etc.. There are faster parts than ever before, but there are also intensive parts and sections that go beyond the imagination in sickness and darkness.
The title "Angel" is taken from the song that is often confused for being ours, since it has been uploaded to the internet with the name of the author as being "Astral Sleep". It is believed that the author was not even by that name in the first place. Even if it was, they never released anything else and have been dead for many years.
Thus, we are the one and only ASTRAL SLEEP and every other band trying to use that name are false. Many times we have been asked "Is Angel your song?". Now we can say "Yes".

Kesällä 2010 Astral Sleep aloitti toisen kokopitkän albumin työstämisen. Tämänhetkinen työnimi on "Visions". Albumi pitää sisällään 5 uutta kappaletta, synkempää ja raskaampaa kuin mikään aikaisemmin tekemämme.
Myös uudet kotisivut ovat tekeillä, mutta webmasterimme leijaillessa pimeydessä joudumme vain arvailemaan niiden valmistumisen ajankohtaa.
