Bändistä kiinni. Kuoppis oli jo pienenä Kapteeninkadun kuuluisa rumpali-ihmelapsi, eikä tatsi siitä huonontunut, ja Jylli on tarkka basisti.
 
Aikoinaan kun Kuoppis oli samalla *bändileirillä* niin se oli semmonen pieni pullukka hirveen rumpusetin takana ;)
 
Ja kumma kun Pete halusi VHS nauhan talteen kun kamera kävi takahuoneessa, jaettiin sama takahuone ;)

Muistaakseni FunFun oli ikärajaton (ainakin loppuvaiheessa, siinä 90-luvun puolivälissä vähän jälkeen) eli ei baari hässäkkä. Melkoista menoahan toki muuten...

Sandwich-runkoisen Gibson Les Paul Deluxen kaveriksi oli asennettu myös Double Eaglen messinkinen Tune-O-Matic. Se kyllä vaikutti sointiin ja soundiin merkittävästi... tiedän sen siitä että itse ostin moisen meitin kettusedältä vuosia takaperin ja asennutin sen omaan LP Standardiin. LP:n soundiin tuli lisää jotain "Stratomaista" klangia vai miksi sitä nyt kutsuisikaan.
 
Itse tosiaan menin niin pitkälle tuossa Wallin Peten soittokamojen metsästämisessä, että jäljitin jopa kyseisen kitaran nykyisen omistajan, soittelin hälle ja pyysin kuvia kyseisestä instrumentistä. Onnekseni hän oli yhtä innoissaan asiasta kuin minä ja sainkin kolmattakymmentä kuvaa soittimesta... myös kuvia joissa mikit oli otettu irti rungosta, lavan katkeamiskohdasta jne. Niiden pohjalta sitten kirjoittelin tarkennuksia kotimaiseen Wikipediaan.

Jos en nyt väärin muista jostakin haastiksesta lukeneeni, niin eikös tuo Petri Wallin "Da Marshall JMP" ole tällä hetkellä Esa Holopaisella hallussa..?
 
Muistelisin kuulleeni jotakin läppää, että halusivat studiossa käyttää kyseistä vahvaria äännityksissä, ja sitten nauhan pyöriessä siitä ekan sävelen jälkeen kosahti sitten pääte/sulake/tmv härpäke.. Ja on sitten siitä asti saanut levätä rauhassa Esan kämpässä reliikkinä..
 
Voi olla toki, että muistan väärin.. Joku jolla on parempaa informatsuunia voi kiistää / vahvistaa.

olikohan siellä jotain huvilaitteitakin ja suomengladiaattorin lavasteet ainakin?
 
..ei muista kun oli aina niin vitun tuubassa kun siellä tullut käytyä...... oliskohan se sitten muuttunutkin jokskus lasten temmellyspuistoksi kun ei täysikäisten juottola enään kannattanu uutuudenhuuman jälken?
 
Huvipuiston ja gladiaattorin loputtua se oli ikärajaton disko, välillä oli keikkojakin, näin ainakin mun muisikuvien mukaan. Viinan juonti ja tappeleminen kyllä kuuluivat ohjelmaan ihan loppuun asti.

Viimeksi kun kävelin siitä ohi niin siellä oli joku Agentsin tyyppinen bändi treenaamassa/tekemässä soundchekkiä,joku vajaa vuosi sitten.

Täytyy huomenna soittaa Esmeraldalle ja kysäistä kun on muutenkin asiaa miekkoselle :)

Pitää paikkaansa, mainitsi omistavansa Peten vanhat kitarakamat joku aika sitten ilmestyneessä Soundissa missä oli kitarasankarikolmikko Holopainen, Laiho ja Tolkki.

Siitä ei ole hirveän pitkä aika kun Wallin kitara oli Kitarapajassa myynnissä. Kitaraa ei markkinoitu sen tähden mitenkään erityisesti, toisin sanoen hintalapussa luki vain merkki, malli ja hinta. Provenienssia ei siis lukenut missään, eikä se myöskään näkynyt hinnassa. Kitara oli samanhintainen kuin muut aikalaisensa.
 
Huomion kitarassa kiinnitti sen outo väri, lisätyt miniswitchit sekä 1970-luvun Gretscheistä tutut isonappiset Grover-virittimet. Näppäilin kitaraa pikaisesti eikä soittoni valitettavasti kuulostanut Wallilta.

...Ja kirjahan oli Jone Nikulan "Rauta-aika". Ei pitäisi lukea vanhoja Sue-lehtiä ennen tänne naputtelua....

En ole kovin perehtynyt tuohon kamapuoleen mutta Wikipedian kamalistasta puuttui efektiosastolta Bossin Dimension-C. Kävin joskus katsomassa Kingston Wallia Tampereen Yo-talolla ja panin kapineen merkille efektilaudassa, koska itselläni oli samanlainen ja on edelleen. No tämä nyt oli tällainen nippeli.

First off all i'm sory for speaking English, but i can't speak finnish (even though many hours of listening to eläkeläiset..).
Now i've been interested in this guitar for such a long time and finally desided to make my own version of it..
 
So regarding the "double eagle" tune-o-matic bridge.. that's the key to get the "strat-sounding" sound out of it right? Has anyone ever seen one like that on ebay or other website for sale? I can only find some floyd rose copies from the brand "double eagle".
When i look at the video of Espoon axo, it looks like a huge square bridge, but the thing i notice most is the position of it.. it's right against the pickup, which is pretty weird for a gibson.
Any recommendations for a replacement bridge, if i'd never find the double eagle?
 
Also, he is using a Gibson paf for neck, and a dirty fingers for bridge PU right?
But the thing that confuses me is those switches. From what i understand he uses them as coil splitters right? I just wonder why he has 2 switches, since he "never used the bridge pickup in splitted mode".. i guess he just performed the mod on both pickups and didn't like it on the dirty finger?
 
The tuners are Grover Kidney "BEAN"? or something else, they look huge when they're filmed from the back, really sticking far out of the headstock..
 
Finally, he replaced the P90's with humbuckers, but how did he cut out the wood? like a standard les paul or different? the humbuckers might be placed higher/lower compared to anything else out there.. and the fact that the bridge is so close to the dirtyfinger only makes me wonder more..

This can be the tricky part. Double Eagle was a Japanese replacement parts dealer, I think they had a strong connection with Gotoh Gut (today just Gotoh) and specilalized in the 80s in brass parts. That very bridge (yes, I was the guy who sold the bridge to "McNulty"..) was an "U" shaped brass bar with saddles, nuthin' fancier..
Replacement bridge..I don't know anyone modern dealer who has something like that. Matsumoku company used almost the same bridge in some Vantage guitars, so perhaps the best source is to monitor fleaBay actively. Who knows, maybe someone even has those Double Eagle parts for sale??

Rotomatics (Grover) they were, I think.. What comes to the electronics, you'd better contact member "McNulty", I bet he will be in assistance. Also with those pictures..

To be exact, the original pickups were Deluxe's standard Minihumbuckers.. someone routed the pickup cavities to suit normal large humbuckers..

Colour is near, but the guit is LP Custom, not LP Deluxe.. =)

Does this vantage bridge look close? (well it''s the sound that matters.. in the end)
But i'll definitely keep my eye open for that double eagle (if i know what it looks like)

I know that the pickup cavities were enlarged for normal sized pickups, but what's the spacing between the two? On a normal les paul there fits exactly a 3th humbucker between the 2 other humbuckers.. is this the same on petri's guitar? This can have a huge influence tonewise!
 
I know the one i have is a custom style LP, but as i said, i'm not trying to recreate an EXACT replica, just something that comes close.. (as i'm a true strat-player normally)..
It's just that i need a les paul guitar in case i need it, and i thought it would be nice to give it a petri-walli kind of touch, since he is one of my heroes ;)

I have no clue what-so-ever of the exact spacing - just thinking that perhaps the rout is towards the "center. Like I said, forum member McNulty has exact info, perhaps. He is working on same kinda project..
