Roomseven was born in April 7th 2006 in Helsinki, Finland.
 
Founded by Aleksi and Ranko, the band was created to reflect their difficulties to adapt in the surrounding circumstances in their lives (and others'). By autumn 2006, Aleksi and Ranko had found their common language in music with couple other guys struggling with similar adversities.
 
"Roomseven is about thinking and feeling; contradictions between mind and body, urges and needs. Reality, existence, spirituality. It's about mass turning into time."
 
Early in the winter 2007 Roomseven recorded their first demo, "Derealisaatio", including two tracks, which were selected to appoint the variety in band's music. Derealisaatio had slowly become (for the band members primarily) an anthem of Roomseven, leading the band combining elements from the sub-genres of heavy music like doom & death -metal, grunge and even post-rock.
 
Later, in the spring, Roomseven played their first gig, and continued performances until the end of the year. At the same time Roomseven had already started working on their second record, which was later (2008) released on Myspace and as a limited cd-ep. Carrying the titles such as "Questionable Ethics Of The Nature", "MMM" and "8" Roomseven started to reify their vision of heavier music:
 
"It's a step out of the swamp of metal bands with their closed-mindedness, pretentious heaviness and aggression, and it challenges everyone to concentrate the attention to the music and expression itself instead of technical issues and affectation. Shut down your senses, let go off your instincts, indulge in subconsciousness. This is death of metal."
 
Shortly, after the studio recordings the band went through some major line-up changes, and during the winter and spring 2008 some of the former members were replaced, and some of them weren't as it wasn't necessary for the vision of what Roomseven is.
 
Currently, Roomseven is working with new, soon-to-be-recorded songs and preparing for the live performances later in the autumn 2008.
