We wanted to reach out to you and tell you about the new record label 272 Records founded by the creators of Club Fiend and Stripped, in Hollywood, California. We are going to be releasing our 11th compilation record from our Acoustika Series called Acoustika Vol. 11. We thought you would be a wonderful addition and a great fit to the record!
 
With the success of Club Fiend and Stripped and working with over 500 great bands including renown artists such as The Start, Beautiful Creatures and Sick Puppies (just to name a few), our attention to detail and hospitality to our acts is unparallel to any other Indie label.
 
In just one year 272 Records have collectively obtained over 10,000 radio spins for our artists on Live365. com. We will be releasing the record to 25 college radio stations here in California. With our hard work and resources, combined with the dedication and persistence of the artists, many of our bands have also received and are currently receiving spins on College Radio here in California. We will send all the station information to you upon the album release so you and your fans can call and request to hear your song.
 
The record will also be distributed for sale to Amoeba Music (Hollywoods largest and most popular record store) and Amazon. com. We have also signed a deal and will be distributing the record to various Cafes and Coffee Houses on Hollywood Blvd., Sunset Blvd. and Melrose Ave. These places are wonderful hot spots which host music events, poetry readings, and open mic nights geared towards the acoustic setting and genera-great for exposure to new fans of your music. They will be giving away free copies of Acoustika Vol. 11 to their customers, guests and visitors as well.
 
We really enjoy your music and of course would invite you to pick whichever song you think represents you, A Day In Paradise and your project the best and see if you would be interested in being on the record. To cover the costs of artwork, shipping, mastering and packaging, the cost to be on the record is only $99.00 (U.S. Dollars). We would also need for you to sign some paperwork saying it's ok to use the song. We would absolutely NOT own any copyrights or licensing at all. Let me know if it sounds like something you'd want to be a part of.

Jotain kusetuksen makua tuossa tuntuisi olevan. Omalle bändilleni tuli muistaakseni joskus Myspacessa samanlainen tarjous ja jätettiin väliin.

Mielenkiintoista että pitäisi maksaa että "pääsee" jollekkin levylle jota sitten vissiin soiteltaisiin raadioissa ym..
 
Eikös se pitäisi mennä vähän niinku toistepäin?

Ei kai siinä sen isompaa kusetusta välttämättä ole, mutta kannattaako tosta maksaa 99$, se on eri asia. Tuo levittäminen saattaa lievää kusetusta ollakkin, muuten saattaa olla hyvääkin bisnestä, jos kokoelmalle saa mahtumaan parikymmentäkin bändiä ja saa halvalla prässättyä levyt.
 
En nyt töihin lähdöltä kerinnyt tarkemmin lukea, mutta ihan hyvä olisi saada muutama kappale lättyä itselleen "palkaksi". Esim. sen verran että saa kaupattua ne ja tienattua takaisin sen 99$
 
Itse tuli lähdettyä sellaiseen tarjoukseen jossa ei tarvinnut maksaa mitään ja saadaan 4% painoksesta, uusinta painostenkin tapauksessa. Eikä tarvinnut maksaa mitään mistään.

Itsellekin tullut juuri myspacessa vastaavia, joista kaikki olen jättänyt omaan arvoonsa. Onhan tuo hullunkurista maksaa päästäkseen levylle, kun nimenomaan biisien säveltäjälle kuuluisi tuosta mekanisointimaksut eikä toisinpäin. Tuolla kuitenkaan tuskin saa näkyvyyttä mitenkään erikoisesti, kuulostaa vähän autotallipainomeiningiltä näin äkkiseltään.

Samainen lafka julkaisi "Kill City 9"-nimisen kokoelman, johon meitä pyydettiin mukaan. Lähdimme.
