Twinstar Eagle, part 1. The Legions
The evening was beautifull The sun had just fled the red horizon
Birds sung their ancient songs from faraway lands and whom they loved
There on the rocky coast of the Great Ocean he sat on a branch of a tree
He observed the clouds and stars and everything that moved
From the distant mist in the horizon he began to see light
From there in silence came the army of the Emperor floating over water
He watched them with a distant fear and a tear broke up into his eye
They had all been legionaires his father and his father and his father
He knew where his journey would end but also that there was still time
He left towards the town not far away When he arrived home
His wife was already waiting for him. But when they went to sleep
He watched the stars through his window and thought they'd live forever alone
There was one star brighter than the others surrounded by a circle of smaller ones
He observed it long but then the moon came and hid it like a curtain
The moon moved slowly but when the circle of stars shone once more
The space between them was black The star was never seen again
He watched and watched the hole in the sky and he knew
He knew he knew he was looking at his future Anteeksi. |

The lieutenant laid dead on the soil
Half of the squad had falen into the night
Panic was eager to wake from my heart
For no-one of the fallen smiled
Sent here into destruction away from home
From my loves and my lands to the cries of a fight
To walk over the mines under the airships
Into the heat of the day and to the chill of the night
The torn battlefield exploded once again
Taking down one friend of more
And still I wondered were they evil men
In their heart though they raged with flames
When the fighting paused I saw my place in the sky
And now I knew it was the place I should fill
Fill the throne of my ancestors' home
The ancestor-fathers of the Twinstar Eagle
I watched it with a distant fear and a tear broke up into my eye
They had all my father and his father and his father fallen
But somehow I knew my turn wasn't yet
It was not my turn to be gone
And at the last glance I threw to the fields
They had broken throught the fense we had no chance
We had lost our last Base 'Vigilance' Anteeksi. |
