Nyt kyllä nakertaa niin paljon kun menin missaamaan tuon keikan.
 
Ystäväni joka oli paikan päällä, soitti tuon keikan jälkeen ja hehkutti tuota pitin toimintaa kyllä maasta taivaisiin :-D Oli kuulemma ollut ihan mustelmia ja ruhjeita koko äijä täynnä.

Oli kieltämättä positiivisella tavalla yllättävää, että festaripitissäkin voi olla noin "rehellinen ja hyvä" meininki...eipä tarvinnut kauheasti horjua, että oli viisi ventovierasta repimässä ylös, ettei jäisi jalkoihin. Kova keikka ja yleisössä kova henki; kiitoksia kaikille paikalla olleille!

Loistava keikka. Brent ekan biisin jälkeen: "Okay, We have allready broken the snaredrum." Sit mies tilutti hetken kun uus rumpu kärrättiin paikalle.
 
Loppujen lopuksi pari vahvistintakin meni remonttiin keikan aikana. "We are breakin shit today" :) !!!

Tuollainen sattui vastaan. Eli kaksi viulistia, alttoviulisti ja sellisti vetää koko Leviathanin läpi. Tosi mielenkiintoinen ja hyvin tehty tribuuttilevy. Onhan tää aika jännän kuuloista ilman sitä hyperaktiivista rummunpauketta.

E: sori, luinpa tarkemmin. Jos manageriportaasta tuo juttu on blabberille kerrottu, niin ei kai siinä sitten suurempia epäselvyyksiä. Masentavaa.

Mitä vittua. Toivottavasti ei pahemmin käynyt.. Vaikka "severe head injury" ei kovin hyvältä kuulosta.
 
Kylläpä on ollut mieli maassa koko päivän, jokseenkin samat fiilarit kuin Dimen tapauksessa. Toivoa vain sopii että tässä käy paremmin.

Mastodon Guitarist Seriously Injured In Mysterious Post-VMA Incident
Brent Hinds, who 'doesn't recall much,' remains under hospital care in Las Vegas; is expected to make full recovery.
 
While details surrounding the incident were unclear at press time, Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds suffered what a publicist for the band's label described as a "severe" head injury in an incident that took place sometime after the VMAs early Monday morning. He remains under physicians' care in a Las Vegas hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
 
Hinds' nose was also broken, and he sustained two black eyes, according to the band's manager, Nick John. Although John did not provide details about what led to Hinds' injuries, he said they occurred at around 3 a.m. Monday morning, after the band had finished one of the highest-profile performances of its career a guest spot in the Foo Fighters' suite during Sunday's MTV Video Music Awards at the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas. Mastodon performed their single "Colony of Birchmen" with Queens of the Stone Age frontman Josh Homme; the song appears on the band's 2006 LP, Blood Mountain.
 
"Thankfully, it seems he's going to (make a full recovery)," said John. "All I know is he had a bad head injury, broken nose and blacked-out eyes. He doesn't recall much."
 
Hinds was spotted by MTV News not long before the incident took place (see "Throwing Dice With T-Pain, Flying With Lil Mama & More VMA Inside Info, In Bigger Than The Sound"), although that sighting provides little insight. Several unsubstantiated rumors circulating around the Web claim that Hinds was attacked shortly after the band's VMA performance. MTV News will have more on this story as it develops.

Aika synkkää menoa. Tuossa on tosiaan vielä kyseessä aikamoinen tekijä noin muusikkona... Anyhoo, toivotaan nopeaa paranemista.

Hieman ehkä revitelty noilla otsikoilla. Hyvä kuitenkin jos on selvinnyt murtuneella nenulla ja mustilla silmillä + mitä lie tuo 'bad head injury' käytännössä tarkoittaakaan.

Voihan se olla, että kallo on esimerkiksi murtunut / liki murtunut? Solvatkaaten minua jos olen tyhmä, mutta sehän ei välttämättä tarkoita vielä mitään pysyvää vammaa?

Ostin Mastodonin uusimman levyn, Blood Mountainin, viime viikolla. Nyt monimutkaiset biisit alkavat vähitellen avautua ja levy vaikuttaa todella tiukalta kokonaisuudelta. En ole itse mikään metalli-muusikin suurkuluttaja, joten olen yllättynyt kuinka hyvältä Blood Mountain kuulostaa. Brann Dailor tykittää rummuilla turhan paljon fillejä,mutta muuten bändi vetelee todella tyylitajuista metalli-hardcore -sekoitusta. ´Sekoilubiisitkin, kuten Bladecatcher, rokkaavat.

According to a new report in the Las Vegas Weekly, the injuries sustained by Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds earlier this month were actually the result of scuffle with System Of A Down bassist, Shavo Odadjian. The site provides this account of the incident:
 
"According to the police reportbased on firsthand accounts and corroborated by hotel-security video footagean inebriated Hinds was leaving Mandalay Bay around 3 a.m. when he encountered Odadjian and musician William Hudson at the hotel's west valet area. Hinds took off his shirt and hit Odadjian with it, then struck Hudson in both the face and chest, prompting Odadjian to advise Hinds 'to relax,' several times, according to the police report.
 
The police report then indicates both Odadjian and Hudson punched Hinds in the face, knocking him to the ground. An unidentified friend of Hinds, who reportedly witnessed the event, rushed to the musician's aid and apologized to Odadjian and Hudson, saying Hinds was 'just drunk,' according to the police report. Odadjian and Hudson were both questioned by police on the scene."
 
Hinds was hospitalized for several days following the incident.
