Ole hyvä vaan, mulla olikin tuos yks kirjoitus ihan käden ulottuvilla:
These models are also listed in the 1991 catalog. All have Gibralter II/Quick Change II bridges and tail pieces, block inlays, multi-layer binding, and the ArtStar type headstock.

The "I" prefix in the serial number indicates it was built in Iida Japan.
In a nutshell;
'75 to '86 the format is Month/Year/Year/****
H75**** = August 1975
B82**** = February 1982

'87 to ???? the format is Factory Code/Year/*****
F8***** = Fuji Gen Gakki (Japan) 1988 or 1998
I1***** = Iida (Japan) 1991 or 2001
C0***** = Cort (Korea) 1990 or 2000
S5***** = Samick (Korea) 1995 ( possibly also M and W)

There are some other less common formats in the late '80's/early '90's that don't follow this.
89***** = 1989

No serial numbers prior to mid-year 1975. And recent models (last couple years) have a new system.

The serial number tells all
F=Fuji Gen Gakki (plant in japan)
1=Built in 1991
5=Built in May
6594= Production number for that month.
