Guinnessin ennätysten kirjasta joskus niitä olen katsellut. Tässä copypastea:
 
The highest and lowest notes reached before this century by the human voice were a C6 by soprano Lucrezia Agujari (1743-83), discovered at Parma (Italy) in 1770 by Mozart, and a 55 Hertz A by the Bass Kaspar Foster (1617-73).
From 1950 to nowadays, many singers reached notes out of this bounds, but lacking resonance and consequently of scarce musical value.
Marita Gunther, under A. Wolfsohn's guidance, succedeed in covering with her voice all the Piano extension, from A-1 to C7. From this seven and one quarter octave's extension, "only" six octaves had musical value.
Roy Art, always under Wolfsohn, reached notes lower than Piano extension.
