Hi, have you ever tried Wood&Tronics bass? I found an interesting site: http://www.woodandtronics.com/?page … ry=bassguitars_woodandtronics&.
I talked to Enrico and he seems a very nice guy! :) I am about to order one for myself and wanted to be sure.

The other interesting brand is Windmill Guitars: http://www.windmill-guitars.com/
Any comments?

PS! You can write in Finnish, I can easily understand but it's difficult for me to write in Finnish.

They sure look like some really HiFi basses. Enrico Pasini himself plays Fodera basses. He has two of them. And he said that his new W&T basses are about the same quality. And the price is almost three times lower.

Hey man!

I couldn't find the prices, maybe I should register on the W&T site or smth? Anyway the first things that came to mind were the bass reviews on BassPlayer of basses priced higher than $3,000 and that always get the same verdict:
Pros: Superb looks, tone and playability.
Cons: None but the price.

However, after looking at your gear list and drawing some conclusions I can't think of that many people who are actually in the position to give you advice. On the contrary, when you get that hifi bass of yours, post another message here to let us know how it is =)

Finland (like Estonia) is such a small place, it's really doubtful anyone in here has even seen a Wood & Tronic bass before.

Hey, I just came back from a two week European tour. I brought a wonderful Woodandtronics WTBasses single cut 5-string made by Enrico Pasini with me. You probably don't believe but this bass smokes out everything I've ever tried included 15-20 Foderas. Enrico is also an active bass player who uses two Fodera Matt Garrisons. Both of them are actually for sale because his own basses are so much better.
I visited all the bigger or more serious stores in 12 countries and played just everything out there included Foderas, KenLawrences, KenSmiths, MTDs, AllevaCoppolas, Elricks, Laklands, MikeLulls, Sadowskys etc. The WT was better than anything ells.
You have to try one out!
PS! And the prices are very good, around 3000 EUR.
Look at my profile to see the picture.
Peace!

Very nice woods in your bass. Beautiful instrument
This is my bass. There are many like it, but this one is MINE. My bass is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life. My bass without me is useless. Without my bass, I am useless.

By the way, all the Windmills I tried were not cool at all. The appearance maybe, but the feel and sound wasn't for me at all. They felt kind of floppy. And they're very pricy for the value.

Hiya! The WT-bass sure looks good :) What are the pickups?
BTW, did you buy that AV-basses six-stringer?

No, I just met Alesh and played his 6-string. It was quite good, although the blue LEJ5 sounded much better (I had it with me). :)
Alesh was very nice person. I might order something from him some day. But he is busy with his everyday life as a graphic designer.
But yes, WT is THE BASS. I found the edge - there is nowhere to go. And it feels kind of sad, I mean not to have any GAS bass dreams.
The pickups on WT are Nordstrands. The preamp is John East custom. The wood is soooooo resonant! And the sound is sweet. It can sound like J, MM, P or any other bass out there. Very versatile. And the strings are very close to the neck. Like Richard Bona has on his Fodera.
I strongly suggest to try out or order one!!!

Okay, I'm willing to buy all the rest of your bass guitars with a big discount :D
Good to hear that you found "the one".

Hey, good to see you here, Joukov!
Yes, Enrico is a good guy. You can get information on their site www.wtbasses.net or www.woodandtronics.com.
The basses are really nice. I am also ready to show you mine. I actually work as Enricos Showcase in Baltic States and Finland. I also have some superb Schroeder cabs you really have to try out. If there's any interest I can drive to Finland and take my stuff with me, so that you can try them out. As you see from my gear list, there's a lot of interesting gear. At least for me. And I am always ready to share my experience and knowlegde with other bass players.
Just let me know if we can organize some kind of bass day.

Tuollaista bassotapaamistahan on täällä yritetty organisoida, eli järjestää jo kauan. Olisi varmasti hauskaa jos sellainen saataisiin joskus ihan oikeasti aikaan. Kaikki toisivat jotain tuomisia ja sitten vertailtaisiin. Kyllähän tuollainen hifikirves olisi kkiva kerran elämässään kokea.

OK, let's try to organise something? We need some active members for the organising team. We also need to find a suitable place for the event, work out the programme for the day and also work out a marketing plan. Maybe we need also a few sponsors?
NB! And there has to be Mr. Jan Olof Strandberg in our show, definitely! ;)

Any more ideas?

By the way, I just came from a rehearsal. Man, this bass kills everything out there! I put my Sadowsky RV5 on sale as well as Pedulla 4-string if anyone's interested.
