Tässäpäs hieman pureskeltavaa. Ei piru vie antanu laittaa tuohon otsikkoon koko otsikkoa. Jos jollekulle on epäselvää niin tässähän käydään läpi Kostantinus Suuren elämä. The Emperor in the Name of God (Saint Constantine, February 27, A.D. 272 - May 22, A.D. 337) Säkeistö 1: Born to the glory of Rome In the distant town of Nish to the age of horrid rebellions in the rule of Aurelianus To face the world of domination betrayal and nonforgiveness To assimilate to survive in the supreme of the masses Säkeistö 2: Serving at the court of Diocletian getting inside the world of politics seeing the rotten inside and transforming himself to it In the campaign to Egypt He met a young christian called Eusebios Who made a deep impact in him forever remembering that man Kertosäe: Saint Constantine to be still unknown the tales and mysteries of the future throne Säkeistö 3: Was it the actions in Nikomedia that started the motion at first did the sight of a burning cathedral burn a indelible stain in his heart For it surely began the hugest and the worst persecution towards the christian religion that the mankind has yet seen Säkeistö 4: After his service in the east He followed his father to Gaul And to take part in his campaigns in the western soil of massive Rome In the ancient Caledonia, the war with Picts His father fell sick and passed away At the very same day the soldiers of Rome cheered the son and declared him the successor Kertosäe: Saint Constantine to be now unveiling the tales and mysteries of the future throne Säkeistö 5: But the politics intertwined and he was taken the title of augustus and replaced to a caesar He was to serve and reign under Severus a man with the power of politics conquered As his reign oversaw Gaul and it's bloom that had suffered in the crisis of the third century Many areas depopulated and cities all ruined He intented to rebuild the Gaul and secure the Rhine frontier Säkeistö 6: But as the inside of the empire became rotten the fights against brothers and sons inevitable Constantine had to cast his eyes upon Rome And leave his stand in the frontier And was it on the hills of Northern Rome he saw a vision so sudden and breathtaking in the sky a sign of an ambigram cross with the words "in this sign you will conquer" Kertosäe: Saint Constantine to be now living the tales and mysteries of his present throne Säkeistö 7: As if spoken to God himself he realised himself belonging to the church of Christ This vision assured him to wield the sign His soldiers bare a cross in their shields And for the rebellion of Maxentius of Rome he gathered his troops of small numbers and to against the vastly huger enemy He attacked with faith in the cross Säkeistö 8: Twenty thousand men against hundred thousand the defeat seemed more than inevitable but then the miracles started to happen and Constantine slaid the enemy with sound victory With his newfound faith in Christianity he finally stopped the persecutions and for his uttermost faith in God He made christianity allowed to practise Kertosäe: Saint Constantine now writing the history of christianity building the base of the faith that is ruling the world today Säkeistö 9: And in the Edict of Milan with Licinius he stated the full tolerance of all religions in the empire But again he stated the very position of christendom in his heart that would never vanish away with the time But this very man Licinius was to challenge the Saint just to find him way too strong for his armies and over again until he saw it the only option try and settle things so peace could dwell again Säkeistö 10: And just as it was the betrayal of him last time the history repeats itself in the wheel of life Licinius reneged the Edict of Milan by initiating another massive persecution against the christians And to the climax it came, to the civil war of Rome where east and west confronted each other in battle Licinius carrying the flag of paganism with him against the cross that gave strenght to the men of Constantine Kertosäe: Saint Constantine now fighting for history of christianity defending the base of the faith that is ruling the world today Säkeistö 11: Again outnumbered army of the cross claimed victory And the men of Licinius all had fallen in the battle Licinius himself was condemned for plotting against the fresh and sole emperor of all Roman empire And as the eastern empire pagans fell in the battles Constantine started to build a center of culture there with it's preservation and honouring his christian faith He protected the city of New Rome with the ancient rod of Moses Säkeistö 12: And like all humans eventually pass in their deathbeds And this Saint was all the same as all the others But as the fable tells this emperor and the follower of faith despite his belief before was only baptised in his deathbed Kertosäe: Saint Constantine forever carved his name in the history of christianity defending the base of the faith that is ruling the world today Säkeistö 13: Although the men continue their lives on the other side the legend will live with us forever For a price I'd do 'bout anything, except pull the trigger - For that I'd need a pretty good cause | |
