Sanotaanko nyt vaikka niin, että vaikken ole kauhean aktiivisesti/paljon Deathiä kuullut, niin se edustaa mulle sitä parasta death metallia Entombedin ja Opethin kanssa.
 
Edit: ihan näin naapurina ilmotellen.

Onhan toi Death helvetin kova. Varmaanki eka hevibändi, jota rupesin kuuntelemaan. Oisko ollu 5. tai 6. luokalla. Ja Chuck teki kyllä mainiota kappaleita ja helvetin tiukkoja riiffejä kyllä löytyy kaikilta Deathin levyiltä. Itellä on tullu kuunneltua eniten Symbolicia ja Sound of Perseverancea, kyl vanhatki on kovia levyjä.
 
Mä en oo tohon Control Deniediin tutustunu kauheesti. Varmaan, koska ei Chuck laula. Yhen biisin oon kuullu, mut en tosta laulusta niin diggaillu. Soitttohan siin toimii hyvin.
 
Ja eikös Chuck tehny yhen ekoista deathmetal-lätyistä. Ja muutenki kehitti tyyliä rajusti.

No miten sen nyt ottaa. Lähti kuitenkin melko pian omille teilleen tästä death-genrestä.

No kyllä ne neljä ekaa on aika death metal painotteisia mun mielestä. Tai oikeestaan Leprosy, Spiritual Healing ja Human. Mut näähän on taas vähän mielipide juttuja.

No miten sen nyt ottaa. Lähti kuitenkin melko pian omille teilleen tästä death-genrestä.
 
Just luin tuossa jotain haastattelua, jossa Chuck ei ehkä ihan ollut sitä mieltä, että Death suoranaisesti death metallia on. Mutta, metallibändi, jonka nimi on Death, ei ihme, jos ihmiset hämääntyy. No joo. Oli mitä oli, mahtavuutta joka tapauksessa! Individual Thought Patterns soi juuri.

Mielestäni tuo Live In L.A oli hienoinne pettymys, bootleg-laatua? Ihan kovina kuitenkin ei kuitenkaan niin kova kuin odotin? Olisi saanut siis vähän parmi laatu olla, Live In Eindhoven, minkalainen?

Ulkoilma keikka, iso lava, päivällä, eli ei kovin hyvät lähtökohdat Death:n keikalle (en nähnyt sitä koskaan livenä joten turhaan valittelen). DVD on nopeasti kyhätty jolla kerättiin rahaa Chuckin hoitoon. Levyllä ei ole muutakuin se keikka jossa on muistaakseni n.10 biisiä. Eniten harmittaa kun rumpuja kuvannut kamera ei ole synkassa äänen kanssa, muut kamerat kyllä on. Huomattavasti enemmän tässä rumpuja näytetään kuin Live in LA:ssa. Yleisö tuntuu olevan täysillä mukana...

Olen kyllä täysin erimieltä. Justiin se raakuus tuo esille parhaiten sen, miten ne oikeesti soitti. Keikallahan ei olis kuullu virheitä yhtä helposti kun videolla, mutta keikkameininki välittyy mun mielestä erinomasesti. Ihan helkutin kova ratkasu että tätä ei tuotettu enempää! Parhaita live dvdeitä koskaan. Bändi kuullostaa liveltä ja näyttää liveltä.

Guido Heijnens, owner of the now-defunct Dutch record label Hammerheart Records (which has since been "resurrected" under the Karmageddon Media banner) has issued the following statement regarding the status of the unfinished recordings originally slated to appear on the sophomore CONTROL DENIED album (the band formed by the late DEATH mainman Chuck Schuldiner):
 
"Judgement by default was done on June 22nd 2005. The Schuldiner family have been ordered to hand over all the master tapes for the new CONTROL DENIED album. Failing to do so the Schuldiner family will have to pay a penalty of $**** for each day up to a maximum of $******. The Schuldiner family have also been ordered to repay $***** plus statory interest and legal costs.
 
"Finally, the Schuldiner family has been ordered to carry out rectification by publishing on the Internet site the text specified in the judgment, failing to do so will lead to a penalty of $**** for each day up to a maximum of $******.
 
"All $-related numbers have been left out since these are business related matters.
 
"For anyone who does not understand what this means: Hammerheart Records B.V. have done nothing wrong and the court has ruled in all matters/subjects in their favour. The family has to pay all costs, rectify the things said on www.emptywords.org, pay back all costs plus interest and hand over the master tapes for the album!!!
 
"So to all the fans out there, let's see if Hammerheart Records finally will get this album to release it, or if the family remains stubborn and keeps on lying to the fans…"
 
As previously reported, Chuck — who passed away in December 2001 after a battle with pontine glioma, a rare type of brain tumor — began work on the album (tentatively titled "When Machine and Man Collide") in 2001 but never managed to complete the effort before his health quickly deteriorated in the months leading up to his tragic death. The remaining members of the group — bassist Steve DiGiorgio, vocalist Tim Aymar, guitarist Shannon Hamm, and drummer Richard Christy — subsequently announced their desire to complete the CD and release it in Chuck's memory, but legal hassles between Schuldiner's family and Hammerheart Records (to whom Chuck was signed at the time of his death) put the entire project on hold (Karmageddon Media — formerly Hammerheart Records — have since issued various incomplete demo recordings as two separate low-quality albums, "Zero Tolerance" and "Zero Tolerance II").
 
Jane Schuldiner, mother of late DEATH/CONTROL DENIED frontman Chuck Schuldiner, had previously stated about the unfinished recordings: "Chuck'slast masterpiece deserves more than to be released as unfinished bits of rehearsal room recordings on CD, or to be grabbed for free on the Internet. It deserves to be finished by the rest of the band and to be released on a full-length album, titled: 'When Machine and Man Collide'."

Kyllä hieman vituttaa tuo levy-yhtiön toiminta. Chuckin viimeinen tahtokin oli että mitään keskeneräistä ei julkaistaisi ja nyt perhe joutuu maksamaan. Ei oikeastaan kiinnostaisi ostaa edes tuota (jos tuo levy nyt koskaan ilmestyykään) taustat tietäen.

DEATH: 'Live In Cottbus' DVD Due In November
 
Nuclear Blast Records will release a DEATH DVD entitled "Death: Live in Cottbus". It will have the same track listing as the "Live in L.A. (Death & Raw)" DVD and will also include all the press pictures from the "The Sound of Perseverance" era (1998) as well. Also, a new "deluxe" edition of the "The Sound of Perseverance" CD will contain "Live in Cottbus" as a bonus DVD. Both releases will be available through the Nuclear Blast online shop.
 
"Live in L.A. (Death & Raw)" was recorded December 5, 1998 at the Whisky A-Go Go in Los Angeles and features the following track listing:

e: Luinpa vielä uudestaan mitä kappaleita siinä on, ja näyttää hyvältä. Esim. The Philosopher (yksi suosikeistani), Zero Tolerance, Spirit Crusher...

Noh, pitänee katsoa josko ostaisi tuon lopputuotannon ennen tätä DVD:tä. Itselläni ei ole toistaiseksi kuin Human, Individual Thought Patterns ja Sound of Perseverance.
 
Individual Thought Patterns on yksi hienoimmista metallilevyistä koskaan. Loistavat lyriikat ja kieroa menoa.

Death, maailman paras bändi. Parasta levyä on vaikea sanoa, mutta Human on jotain elämää suurempaa.

Parhaasta levystä en sano mitää mutta Evil Dead on legendabiisi!!

Tänään on 13.12.2005 ja sehän tarkoittaa, että mestari Chuck Schuldiner on ollut poissa tasan neljä vuotta. Tänään on siis aika soittaa koko Death tuotanto ja Control Deniedit päälle hänen muistolleen. Muuta ei voi sanoa, joten hiljaisuus hänen muistolleen.

viimeinen deathin levy on paras. kumminkin aika kaukana perinteisestä döötsistä muttta helevetin kovaa soittoa ja hyvät kappaleet on pääasia.
