With a mixture of admiration for his courage and profound sadness at his deteriorating physical condition due to lung cancer, a capacity house watched Gatemouth Brown struggle valiantly to perform with his band.
 
Following a standing ovation as he was led in by two attendants, the proud and legendary “American music” guitarist sat stark still on a stool in the glare of a single spotlight, rail-thin and resplendent in cowboy hat and western wear, with his head down when not playing, laboring to breathe through an oxygen tube. He did not sing and only said a few words during his one short set.

Kyllä tässä vaiheessa kannattaa vaan jäädä himaan. Tää menee jo yleisön aliarvioimiseksi? Ei toi voi olla enää mikään musiikillinen elämys... lähinnä sadistinen survival reality-show. Blääh.
