Jotenkin tulee mieleen ne Fenderin 80 -luvun hevistrato viritykset, vaikka enemmän tuo Aerodyne nojaa perinteisiin. Minun silmääni tuo Aerodyne miellyttää.

By the way, just eilen lueskelin kirjaa Gibsonin kitaroista. Siinä kerrotaan mm. miksi firman ekassa solid body-kepissä eli Les Paulin halujen mukaan muokatussa nimikkokitarassa ylipäätään on kaareva kansi.

Not only would it look nice, he said, but our competitors couldn´t do that. I said 'I´ll go for an arch-topped look', it gives you more maple and more sustain." ..... The belly top was Gibson´s idea as explained by Ted McCarty: "The reason that we curved the top was that we had carving machines and Fender didn´t. They couldn´t make a curved top instrument so we decided, well, we will make ours different." |
