A PLACE TO BURY STRANGERS VUOSIEN TAUON JÄLKEEN TAVASTIALLE Ti 1.10.2013 Helsinki, Tavastia New Yorkin äänekkäimmäksi bändiksi nimetty A Place To Bury Strangers palaa vuosien tauon jälkeen Suomeen: yhtye esiintyy Tavastialla tiistaina 1. lokakuuta. Liput yhdysvaltalaisen noiserock/post-punk/shoegaze-bändin keikalle tulevat myyntiin Tikettiin torstaina 8. elokuuta. Kovaäänistä noiserockia, maalailevaa shoegazea sekä tummasävyisen kulmikasta post-punkia yhdistelevä A Place To Bury Strangers tunnetaan ennen kaikkea kovaäänisistä keikoistaan. Huiman live-bändin maineessa olevalta newyorkilaistriolta on toistaiseksi ilmestynyt kolme studioalbumia sekä valtaisa määrä singlejä, ep-levyjä ja muita erikoisjulkaisuja. A Place To Bury Strangersin edellinen pitkäsoitto Worship ilmestyi viime kesänä Dead Oceans -levymerkillä (mm. Dirty Projectors, Phosphosrescent). Yhtyeen tuorein albumi on puolestaan viime kevään Record Store Day -julkaisu Strange Moon, joka sisältää ainoastaan Dead Moon -lainakappaleita. Parhaillaan trio nauhoittaa myöhemmin tänä vuonna ilmestyvää neljättä studioalbumiaan. Aikaisemmin A Place To Bury Stangers on vieraillut Suomessa kesällä 2009, jolloin yhtye soitti kaveribändinsä Dead Combon kanssa Indie Iltamat -kiertueen klubikeikat Helsingissä, Tampereella ja Turussa.
