The Yamaha BC1 is the original breath controller designed in the early 1980s to interface with compatible Yamaha synthesizers (such as the DX7, DX21, DX11, TX81Z, VL70m, and others). It allows the performer to control parameters like volume, modulation, or brightness in real time using breath pressure, offering expressive, wind-instrument-style control over sounds.
