| I'm putting up for sale a handcrafted six-string bass by renowned French luthier Christian Noguera – the Yves Carbonne signature model YC6. I've owned Noguera instruments before, and they've always been on par with the world's top boutique basses. This particular bass is no exception – extremely resonant, with a super comfortable neck and top-tier playability. Body: Resonant alder with a flamed maple top Neck & Fingerboard: Birdseye maple on hard maple Currently strung with LaBella Deep Talking Bass Gold White Nylon Tape Wound strings, but I can swap them out for roundwounds if preferred. With roundwounds, the tone is very reminiscent of a 70s Jazz Bass. The pickup placement and number of coil windings provide excellent slap tone, with a tight low end that cuts through the mix like a hot knife through butter. Despite being a 6-string, the bass is surprisingly lightweight, coming in at around 4kg. Why am I selling it? I bought it for a solo bass project that likely won’t happen. At the same time, I already have over ten high-end 4- and 5-string basses in my rack – I’m simply running out of space. Noguera basses typically retail in the ¤3000–¤7000 range. Feel free to make me an offer or propose a trade for a 5-string bass of similar quality. Ideally, I’d prefer a partial trade plus some cash. The bass can be tested in Tallinn through various amps (Glockenklang, Aguilar, Bergantino).
