Recording songs for the 2nd time seems to lose magic. It was a more commercial arrangement with a key change etc, but it didn’t have the guts of the first version. I thought the tempo was too fast also, but there yer go, another 550,000 people obviously didn’t think so! Putting Fisticuffs in Frederick St on the B side was a great plus I think, its one of my favourite TOY DOLLS songs." |
