Eiköhän tämä tästä oikene, kunhan saadaan taas jotain lisätietoa tulevasta julkaisusta.

Katselin eilen SYL-livedvd:tä ja pakko sanoa että ei jumalauta on se Devin aina yhtä loistava. Sekä soolojutuissa että SYL:ssä että missä tahanssa muussakin. Vähän kyllä oli semmoinen wtf-olo kun Far Beyond Metalia tuli laulamaan joku aivan ihme jätkä joka ei osannut niin yhtään. Ehkä mieluummin olisin katsonut kunnon vedon, en tiedä.

Lisäksi on vihjailua vähän siihen suuntaan, että vaikka Mesaa onkin nyt sponssailtu, sitä mennään takaisin Peaveyn talliin. Onhan tuo 5150 ollut jo aika kauan "se" Devinin saundi muutenkin :)

Ja taas uutta infoa. Joku kyseli onko kasikielistä tms. hommattu:
 
Nope...six string. The amp is the best amp I've ever played. We're still working on it...trying to find the right speakers. Just found the tubes. Mullards in the preamp and recto, 2 tung sol in power section. 2 Channels, 6 knobs...slave out and good fx loop. 1/2 open and 1/2 closed 4x12...trying celestions now, trying Weber Silver Bells next week. Speakers need to be right still.
 
Dimarzio pickups. Area 61s and just trying to find the right humbucker. Taps in position 2 and 4. Tone zone currently, not brutal enough but taps well. 2 piece alder body one piece quartersawn maple neck. No bar, 2 tone, volume and master volume. (no tone change) Finding the right contours, Like a skipping stone, mottled grey, nitro finish, black hardware. Seasick strat shape, a bit like an RG, a bit like a jazzmaster. Bolt on with contoured heel. Wide roll on the tone knobs, tone one directly to the neck, tone 2 to the bridge, middle PU straight up.
 
My style has changed...The leads are slow. (nerd alert was just a shitshow) ...going for HUGE clean sounds, but channel 2 crushed when I need.
 
The new material is shit hot...but different. Like old zz top, Radiohead and c.c.r mixed with SYL and meshuggah.
 
The intention behind it is strong. No swearing.

Tää kuulostaisi ihan hyvältä, mutta kattellaan nyt. Toivottavasti on parempi kuin Ziltoid.

Dev sanoi aiemmin, että levy tulee ulos vasta keväällä tai kesällä. Eli odotellaanpa vielä. HevyDevyn forumeilla ei kyllä Suomi-osasto ole juuri aktiivinen.

Välillä tulee jotain läppää heitettyä, kyllä paikalliset siellä pitää huolen Devin hiillostamisesta ihan tarpeeksi.

Thanks for all the support over the past few months, it's been great talking to you all.
 
Namm was brutal. We were snowed in here in Vancouver and had a total of 3 rehearsals for the show. I met tons of folks from my past that very obviously didn't want me in the 'club' anymore. It was 2 days that felt like a week. Fucking punishing.
 
The show was not the best thing I've done, nor did it represent the tunes super well. While I was on stage all I could think was 'my god...I'm a dad. What the hell am I doing up here?'
 
I start the record again today. I think this record is beautiful. I am going to sell a shitload of gear soon (next month) so I'll tell you when there's a list (not to buy, we're all broke) but maybe to tell you rich uncle about. :) I'm also getting rid of some cheap stuff too though...pedals, tshirst, posters etc.
 
Strangely, I feel really really strong and really good. I have come back with much fewer questions than when I left. Peavey are brilliant folks as well. Love those guys.

I ran into Gene and his friends but I was unfortuantely kind of upset and I think they probably thought I blew them off. Lots of situations like that actually. I seem to have forgotten how to relate.
 
Good to be home, I have an immense amount of bills to pay in the next 3 weeks, so back at it!
