Bay Arealta puskevalta Lääz Rockit-orkesterilta pukkasi vastikään komea comeback lätty "Left for Dead" heti 17 vuotta edellisen albumin jälkeen. Tätä mieltä on ainakin Maxim, joka arvioissaan heittää aika väkevän loppukaneetin:

Historiajorinaa lontooksi:
 
Laaz Rockit the thrash metal band was formed in Berkley, California in 1982. One of the founders of the Bay Area Thrash Metal genre. Each album in their history has received high critical marks. Before ever putting out an album, this bands new style of metal, started a huge fan base, by playing to alot of Sold Out shows , due to the bands high energy live performances, complete with Pyro explosions, that became a trademark and highlighted the bands raw power.
 
In 1984 the band put out what many consider a "blue print" to Thrash Metal, The City's Gonna Burn. Along with other power house Metal bands of that era, such as Metallica, Slayer, Testament, Exodus, and Anthrax. A new sound was created, and that has continued to inspire many bands to this day. The group takes its name from the finale of the 1976 Clint Eastwood movie, The Enforcer. The name Lääz Rockit came from the finale of the Eastwood movie, where Clint ends the film by shooting a tower with a "L"ight "A"nti-tank "W"eapons "S"ystem rocket LAWS. The band adopted the name, changing the spelling to Lääz Rockit. The name was chosen to describe their raw energy and explosive stage presence.
 
The band broke up in 1992, and after a long, 13 year absence reunited with all original band members for a US Mini Tour in 2005 with Testament, including the San Francisco benefit concert Thrash Against Cancer, and then two shows in the Netherlands including the main stage of the 2005 Dynamo Open Air, in support of Anthrax, and Testament, and an appearance in Japan for Thrash Domination Festival, playing with Testament, Kreator, and Destruction, on two sold out nights.
 
After enjoying the fun and success of playing live again, a DVD titled "Live Untold" was released in August 2006. Which showcased the bands live concert in Japan, and told the story of the bands history all the way up to present day, with clips of old concert scenes, and photo's from back in the 80's. The band also announced that their back catalogue would be re released and remastered, all on Old School Metal Records. Starting with their first highly acclaimed album from 1984, The City's Gonna Burn, which was re-mastered and expanded in 2007. This gave the classic album a modern production sound, with an expanded booklet that included many photo's from that years 1984 live shows, along with the artwork also being redone.
 
Due to the fan's positive response regarding the band reunion, and the enjoyment of being back together, doing what they love most, playing high energy Metal. They added Sky Harris as the new drummer, to replace Victor Agnello, who could only do the reunion dates, due to his lifelong career of being a Doctor in the US Army. Then Laaz Flew out to Europe in August 2007 for a short tour, that included headling The Keep It True Festival. Playing the older classic songs, and being back as a complete band, in the country that always supported them with open arms, and bringing with it, alot of fond memories.
 
It was shortly after this that they realized that they really wanted to write another album, and committed themselves to write and pick up where they left off musically. And in 2008 they completed what they think is a perfect follow up to the sound they became known for. And choose the well thought out title, Left For Dead. With the help of co-producers Juan Urteaga and former guitar player and current MOD member Scott Sargent, who also made a guest appearance. The band feels that the flow and direction of this new release, follws right where The Annihilation Principle left off, a natural progression, of where they felt Laaz Rockit, should pick back up. And they all feel that this is the most mature sounding and well thought out album that they have ever released.
 
Left For Dead is set for a July 25th release in Europe on Massacre Records. And on June 1st a limited edition signed album, will become available in the US, for a limited time only, on their MySpace page, and or official website.

Kuvavinyylit on vähän arsesta, mutta pakkohan se on jos muuta ei ole. Niin kovia biisejä - että kuten meikäläisellä tapana on jos levy on TODELLA kova - ostan vinyylin himaan ja CD:n autoon. Kova thrashmetalvuosi....Exodus, Testament, Cavalera Conspiracy, Lääz Rockit....onks vielä jotain tulossa? Ainiin...Evince ;)

Itselle ei tuo uusi Lääz Rockit maistu... Vanha sen sijaan ihan hulluna! THEY CALL IT EUROSHIIIIMA!!! Pitäs vaan toi Nothings Sacredkin hommaa kun taitaa olla bändin rankin levytys. Sitten onkin jo kaikki klassikot hallussa.

Kova on tämä Lääz Rockit, pitänee tutustua vanhaankin tuotantoon.
