Lonesome: Juuri näin, mutta silti aasinsiltaa Röörin ja Alvinin bändien käytännön vertailuun: Lähdettyään Röörin bändistä, Gerry McAwoy ja Brendan O'Neill jatkoivat uudelleen kasatussa Nine Below Zerossa. Alvin Lee oli saman managerin hoidossa (Miles Copeland) v. -94 ja kas kummaa, USA:n kiertueella NBZ avasi keikat ja McAwoy ja O'Neill jatkoivat Leen komppiryhmänä.

Totta.

Mainiossa kirjassa "Riding Shotgun" (ISBN 0-9550320-0-8) Gerry McAvoy kertoo näin.

Years later, in 1995, when Nine Below Zero were touring the USA with the great Ten Years After guitarist, Alvin Lee (with Brendy and I doubling up as Alvin's rhythm section), we were lucky enough to share the stage with the Big Man, E-Street Band saxophonist Clarence Clemons, at a gig in San Francisco.
(riding shotgun, s. 131).

Samassa kirjassa (s. 285):

Miles Copeland was also taking care of Alvin Lee from Ten Years After at that time and when we returned from Canada he asked if we would be interested in a similar arrangement with Alvin on a tour of the USA. Again NBZ opened for him and, after a short break to get our breath back, me and Brendy went back out and played as Alvin's rhythm section.

We followed that up with short tours to Greece and the UK. It was a much more acceptable situation because there was a mutual respect between us as musicians. I got on well with Alvin and knew him vaguely from the early days with Rory.

Näin siis Gerry McAvoy.
