Or, even if you subscribe to a music service, the amount of cash that goes to the artist for a download or a stream is absolutely inconsequential. It means absolutely nothing to anybody. I'll give you an example. I had a large piece of a song, and I got a statement for my royalties, and it streamed 42,000 times, and I got 42 cents. That's indicative of the times."

Joo näin on tilanne nykyisin !.Mutta toivottavasti tekisivät jotain uutta.Se tahtoo olla että keikoilla tienataan nykyisin niin hyvin ja näistä spotifyestä ja muista vastaavista ei välttämättä tule niin hyvin rahaa. Mutta kyllä nää räppärit ja suomen muutkin huippuartistit tuntuvat tienaavan tosihyvin kokonaisuudessa.

Ninpä. On todella surullista mihin ollaan uuden musan levyttämisessäkin tultu. No tämähän olisi ihan omassa topikissa pohdittava asia kuin täällä. Sen verran vielä off-topikkia sallittaneen että hirveintä tässä onkin että niin AOR/rock/proge ymv. "vaativampaa" musaa kuin räppiä tekevät bändit joutuvat tietyssä mielessä vähentämään uuden musan levyttämistä (korkeintaan 1-2 biisiin kuten Hansenkin totesi) digitaalisia striimipalveluja varten (saadakseen sieltä loppupelissä edes taskurahat) kuin meille "old-school" levyn ostajille/levykokonaisuuksien ystäville jotka mielellään ostaisivat sen kokonaisen albumin (cdn)...
