DANNY CAVANAGH (from Anathema) and ANNEKE VAN GIERSBERGEN (ex-The Gathering, Devin Townsend etc) will tour Finland in the end of January 2013. The pair will bring their "Acoustic Sessions" tour to Tampere performing at Klubi, Tampere on the 31st of January 2013. The two will also play shows in Helsinki (28 & 29.01.), Jyväskylä (30.01.) and Turku (01.02.).
Daniel Cavanagh is an English guitarist and singer who formed the British band Anathema in 1990 with his brother Vincent Cavanagh. He is responsible for much of the songwriting and production behind the band. Cavanagh has been involved in other projects including Leafblade, an acoustic & Celtic rock band, (guitars and vocals), and Antimatter.
Anneke van Giersbergen, hailing from the Netherlands is the former lead singer and guitarist of the Dutch progressive/alternative rock band The Gathering which she departed in August 2007. She now performs under her own name. She has also worked with Lawn, Farmer Boys, Ayreon, Napalm Death, Novembers Doom, Moonspell, Globus, Giant Squid, Devin Townsend, Anathema and Within Temptation.
