WaveCamp is a summer camp for young persons interested in music and technology. Organized at Steilene, a group of islands in the Oslo archipelago, the camp will give 24 young participants (17-19 years old) from the Nordic countries, the chance to learn about, and work with, music technology. The program will consist of daily lectures and workshops given by university professors and professionals, and group projects where the aim is to build a sound installation controlled by nature (wind, waves, etc). During the week, the participants will get a broad introduction to various music technological theories, tools and techniques, and get inspiration for further work and studies within the field. The working language of the camp is Norwegian, so all participants must be fluent in one of the Scandinavian languages.
