Kuuntelin tuossa Zen Cafen Ua Ua-albumia, ja sieltä kappaletta nimeltä Poika joka käyttää laseja. En voinut olla miettimättä miten hyvin nuo lyriikat kuvaavat omaa lapsuuttani ja ennenkaikkea kouluaikaani. Minulla oli lasit, minut valittiin aina viimeisenä urheilussa ja tiesin aina kaiken, mikä muita suunnattomasti ärsytti enkä koskaan pystynyt pitämään puoliani. Myöskin tuo "saatan olla outo, mutten valita"-kohta oli kuin suoraan omasta elämästäni. Tuolla biisillä onkin minulle erityinen merkitys.
 
Onko teillä mitään tämmöisiä kappaleita, Kertomuksia kehiin.

Tuo rivi on syöpynyt muistojeni kirjaan ikuisiksi ajoiksi. Huonoina päivinä tuntuu todellakin tuolta. Oikeastaan suurin osa Devinin tuotannosta tuntuu ainakin jossain määrin kertovan jokaisen angstisen surkimuksen (puhun vain omasta puolestani) elämästä ja hyvä niin. On mukava tietää ettei ole yksin ongelmiensa kanssa.

Olen vastannut samantapaiseen kyselyyn aikaisemminkin täällä Muusikoiden.netissä, mutta vastaus on edelleen sama: The Beach Boysin "I Guess I Just Wasn't Made for These Times" vuodelta 1966:

Semmoisen huomion tein tässä kun uusimman levynsä lainaan sain, että PMMP:n kappale "Kiitos" kertoo melkein pelottavan tarkasti viimeisimmästä parisuhteestani ja sen jälkimainingeista omasta näkökulmastani.
