  We are Ticket to Babylon, a Tampere-based band that plays an eclectic blend of experimental hip-hop and progressive metal with various other influences, and we are looking for an experienced and open-minded guitarist to join our musically and culturally diverse crew.The band has serious professional goals, with a debut album already recorded and set to be released next year. However, since we write music in a collaborative manner where everything is dictated by the chemistry between the band members, the overall sound is already subject to change. Ideally, we are looking for a guitarist who: – can play their instrument proficiently – can contribute their share of the band's expenses, particularly the rehearsal room rent (currently 72¤/person/mo) – has previous songwriting, studio and live experience – has the needed equipment for rehearsals and live performances (guitars, pedalboard, IEMs) – is enthusiastic about fusing different musical genres and elements (especially hip-hop, metal and adjacent styles) – is willing to prioritize the band in at least a semi-pro capacity – is not afraid of performing music with explicit social, psychological and political messages – is able to converse fluently in English In return, we offer you: – a group of passionate and skilled musicians to create and play cool music with – a friendly and democratic band environment where your voice and ideas matter – a crew with the technical skills and marketing knowledge needed to take the project to the next level – a rehearsal room in Nekala (available 24/7) If this piqued your interest, send us a message with an introduction and a sample of your playing!
