| Kuvaus: | Pieter Smal is a South African musician with 15+ years of experience as pianist, accompanist, continuo player, organist, music teacher, and composer for video games. His broad repertoire spans from classical music to jazz and popular music. Pieter is an accomplished solo pianist and have accompanied several international musicians, including Antoinette Lohmann from the Netherlands. He obtained a his first music degree (Cum Laude) in 2014, followed by a masters degree in 2017, both at the University of Pretoria. Besides being a finalist for the 2009 UNISA Grade 8 bursary competition, Pieter won several SAMRO undergraduate bursaries for composition. He currently resides in Pretora but is seeking to emigrate to Finland. With Pieter's classical training, his performances of popular music (jazz, pop, rock, metal, etc.) is refreshing and inventive. |
