Selling this fantastic Lomo 19a9 microphone.
Made famous for having being used by Steve Albini on In Utero by Nirvana (and many other of his recordings) - these Russian tube mics are full of character and sound excellent on many sources (have been used here on drum ambient, vocals, acoustic guitars, percussion etc).
I bought a pair for my recording studio direct from a studio in St Petersburg, Russia in 2016, they came with orginal power supplies and cables with the soviet military-grade connectors. When I bought the mics I had my trusted local tech check over the power supplies, and he replaced a few worn out capacitors (as true to the originals as possible) so they are set up for many more years of use! I've had them in regular studio use since then... and they work flawlessly, warm and rich sounding, with a nice tube-y mid-forward sound. The paint isn't flawless, as shown in the photos - but this has absolutely no effect at all on the functionality of the mic!
Putting one on sale as I am raising some cash to fund a few other investments into the studio. I could be reluctantly persuaded to sell the pair if somebody would make a reasonable offer - so please feel free to contact.
I have spare tubes (somewhere :D) and then original capacitors (which were worn out and replaced) if a buyer is interested.
I'm of course available to answer any questions, so please get in touch if interested - testing is possible here in Lievestuore if desired!Hinta: 3750 €
