I bought this mixing desk brand new in 2016, and it has never left my non-smoking studio since then. I've used it daily and treated it very carefully, covering it with a dust cover every night, so there are no defects at all - this desk is like a new one! It comes with the original inner and outer shipping boxes, Firewire cables, power cables and manual.
The ZED R16 is:
- a 16-channel mixing desk with very good mic preamps on every channel
- an 18-in/18-out Firewire interface (plus 16 more ins & outs via ADAT)
- a MIDI control surface (every fader has its own button to change it to a MIDI controller!)
- a set of 16 hardware insert points and high-end analogue EQs that you can use as insert effects in your DAW
- a really nice, warm-sounding analogue summing mixer
- a very versatile monitor controller
The preamps and EQs are as good as some 500-series modules I've used, so it's been worth the money just to have 16 of those! I love this desk, it's an incredible piece of equipment, but I don't have space for it any more.

I bought this desk new for 2000¤. Some shops are still selling them brand-new - up to 2500¤ is common, and there is one crazy place in Italy currently offering them at 3500¤. 😳 Secondhand, good ones sell for about 900-1300¤. This one, as I said, is in perfect condition, so 800¤ is a real bargain!
