|Myydään: Fender Esquire MIJ All-in-One, more than 35 years old|| Lisätty: 15.09.2020|
|Originally Fender Esquires have only one pickup, but this one can do every kind of genres. It is from my early "Robert Fripp years" from the 1980's and has 4 pickups and many switches for selecting a wide variety of different sounds.|
(1) It has in 5-way selector position #1 a nice sounding double coil Seymour Duncan in the bridge that alone can give you 5 different sounds,
(2) the next to the bridge is "tone sweetener" (from an old Washburn made in USA) that can be added parallel together to any combination selected by 5-way selector but cannot be used on its own (if you want it to be usable alone you can easily change the wiring).
(3) The actual middle pick up is Seymour Duncan Hot Rails which gives you 3 sounds selected by a mini switch (i) single coil, (ii) Humbucker and (iii) coils in parallel; it is in the middle position #3 of the 5-way selector switch
(4) Nice sounding Seymour Duncan neck pickup, which is used at selector position #5, but can be added in parallel on top of to any combination using a mini switch.
(a) Its use is very simple in normal situations, when you first have chosen what bridge sound you would like to have for your bridge pickup (special sounds - out of phase and turbo - with push-pull pots, and a mini switch for (i) single coil, (ii) Humbucker and (iii) coils in parallel
and (b) the sound of Hot Rails (single coil, humbucker or coils in parallel)
(c) then you can select different sounds like in a strat by the 5-way selector.
(d) if you would like to have telecaster middle position sound, you would need to (i) select the bridge and (ii) add neck pickup to it with a mini switch
(e) if you would like to have sweetest tones you have ever heard, add "tone sweetener" to any other sound available from this "All-in-One" MIJ Fender Esquire from the 1980's with a well-desiccated nicely resonating ash body.
It has new excellent high frets by Erkki Tolsa (I wore the originals to a quite poor shape).
Tidy, no dings or "belt buckle rash", as you see from the photos. Fender announced this year: "What little Ash we are able to source will continue to be made available in select, historically appropriate vintage models, as supplies are available.” in other words, you cannot get these ash body guitars as new in the future, except in custom shop models.
With its original hard Fender case in the pictures, the price is 1500 ¤, and without the case 1420 ¤.
Here you can see how these look like while being untouched virgins:
