In the past 2 years, Nokias Entertainment team has developed a cutting-edge and cloud-based platform that allows us to deliver innovative, yet simple and out-of-the-box, entertainment experiences around Music, TV / Video, and Reading and across all Nokia and Microsoft platforms and screens. Xbox gaming offering will be an integrated entertainment experience.
First product on this new platform is Nokia Music, featuring Mix Radio and Gigfinder (using Nokia Maps) for Nokia Lumia. Having launched across 38 countries today, with plaudits from industry and consumer press, the service is continuing to grow an engaged consumer base and with further territories planned during 2013.
The Music/Entertainment Editors role in Espoo, Finland is to Amaze our consumers with a locally relevant entertainment experience every day. The role requires a strong editorial skillset, that will focus on creating the cutting edge digital music experience.
From programming and managing Mix Radio channels, digital music catalogues to the engagement experience in Social Media and digital marketing. The role will also include a high degree of interacting with the music industry from labels, artist management to event and festival organisations to ensure we stay ahead in locally relevant music experiences.
Working with the Entertainment Lead, the Music/Entertainment Editor role will also be responsible for driving consumer engagement, measured by Active users, listening hours and retention levels and will specifically include:
-managing local label/partner relations and managing music content distribution through programming and editorial
-driving consumer activation and engagement
-fostering local relevancy, understanding consumer needs at a local level and striving to provide an optimised local service
-promotion/marketing of Nokia Entertainment services, through social media channels and digital marketing
-analysis of consumer behaviour across Nokia Entertainment services in your market
-developing new marketing relationships with local market organisations
-managing content on Entertainment services across mobile and web platforms
-rolling out new products and services into your market
-Digital content, entertainment experience preferred
-Music knowledge and experience strong editorial skills and strong appreciation of local music tastes in Finland
-Consumer engagement, sales and marketing experience within digital content business preferred but not essential
-Excellent communication and relationship management skills ability to inspire stakeholders to excellent results
-Highly creative, personable, analytical and results driven professional
